Create
Professional Dish Gardens: 177001
Design and make original dish gardens using live plants, decorative items,
and gorgeous bows at a fraction of the cost of florist designs. Give them
as gifts or keep them for you own décor and enjoyment. Bring scissors,
wire cutters and a decorative container (basket or dish at least 3-in
deep and 8-in. diameter) to class; optional supplies – small figures,
pretty rocks, dirfitwood, or your own 3-in wired ribbon. Plants, potting
mix, other supplies furnished. Materials fee of $25 payable to instructor
at class. Instructor: Christine Bahr.

Introduction
to Wine Appreciation: 171701
We’ll cover grape varietals, the wine-making process, how to spot
a flawed wine and recognize a great one, describing a wine intelligently,
matching wine to food. Class includes wine tasting in class, a Saturday
field trip to a local winery, an evening of winetasting and dinner at
a local restaurant (more info on dinner and field trip available in class).
Course fee covers in-class wine tasting. Bring 4 wine glasses
to each class. Instructor: Greg Chase. Must
be 21 to register for this class; please bring ID to class.
