Creative Bookbinding Workshop
Bonefolder (tephlon are best)
Awl
X-acto knife, or scalpal
90º triangle
Ruler (metal rulers with cork underneath are best)
Needles–you'll need an assortment varying from 3" long needles to regular needles. Make sure that the eyes of needles are large enough for thick threads
Binder's Board–100% Acid-free/archival matte board works well, too. It's easier to cut
Small spray bottle
PVA glue
Large brush–something cheap for gluing
Newsprint–You can find cheap pads of this paper at any art supply store (not printed newspaper)
Notebook for taking notes

Silk Painting for Beginners
Water color or Sumi brushes – 1 large and 1 small or for the larger brush you can get a foam paint brush or a Chinese wash brush

Bring an apron and rubber gloves or wear clothing that you don’t mind getting ruined.

Watercolor, Beg/Interm.
Brushes–Rounds are great, they're most versatile. Get a variety ranging from an 8 to 16. A large flat wouldn't hurt either
Watercolor Paper–Based on personal preference, I like Arches 180lb cold press. If you want to experiment with weights and tooth go right ahead. I wouldn't try anything that is lighter than 180lb weight.
Spray bottle
Paper towels
Large container for water
Paints–try to steer clear from anything that has "hue" on the end. They're not that great. Below is a list of suggested pigments...

Cadmium Yellow light
Cadmium Orange/yellow dark
Cadmium Red
Alizarin Crimson
Cobalt Blue
Cerulian Blue
Indigo Blue
Pthalo Blue
Raw Umber
Burnt Umber
Raw Sienna
Burnt Sienna
Hooker's Green
Chromium Oxide Green
Payne's Grey
Permanent Violet
